Nick Herbert (Chair)

Nick Herbert (Lord Herbert of South Downs) is a Member of the UK House of Lords and a founding member of the Global Equality Caucus.

He was previously a member of the UK House of Commons 2005-2019, during which time he played a pivotal role in advancing equal marriage in the UK, launching the Freedom to Marry campaign in 2012 and contributing to the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act 2013. 

He has served as the Prime Minister’s Special Envoy for LGBT Rights (2021–2024) and also chairs the Global TB Caucus and the UK All-Party Parliamentary Group on LGBT+ Rights.
