Launched in September 2019 with an inaugural event in Tokyo, the Asia & the Pacific Chapter of the Global Equality Caucus is reinvigorating its efforts to support inclusive policymaking and LGBT+ legislative leadership across a diverse and rapidly evolving region.

Regional Strategy (2025–2028)
The chapter launched its new multi-year strategy to guide regional action through 2028, setting clear priorities for engagement, advocacy, and capacity-building.
Country Engagements
Targeted visits were conducted in Nepal, Thailand, and Taiwan, fostering dialogue with lawmakers, civil society, and regional stakeholders.
Focus Country Prioritisation
A structured approach to identifying and prioritising focus countries ensures resources and advocacy are strategically targeted for maximum impact.
Strengthening Partnerships
New and revitalised collaborations have been forged with regional networks, UNAIDS, and UNDP, aligning with broader development and health agendas.
Reanimating Membership
Developing strategic collaborations to connect with parliamentarians across the region, rebuilding a vibrant and engaged membership base.
