The work of the Global Equality Caucus began with the adoption of its organisational constitution at the United Nations in New York, marking the start of its engagement with legislators worldwide.

Launch (2019)

Our Europe and North America chapter was launched concurrently with the organisational constitution in June 2019 at the UN in New York, with 100 members pledging their support.

Legislative Reform Campaigning

Targeted efforts to secure key legislative gains in member countries, including banning conversion therapy, supporting marriage equality, and advancing LGBT+ rights.

Parliamentary Engagements

Parliamentary engagement in high income countries on sustaining their commitments to LGBT+ equality, including international obligations such as the UN 2030 HIV targets and the European Convention on Human Rights.

Cross-Party Political Outreach

Working across political lines to build consensus on shared priorities such as HIV prevention and inclusive development funding for LGBT+ communities globally.

Supporting National LGBT+ Caucuses

Facilitating the creation and strengthening of national-level LGBT+ parliamentary caucuses, while encouraging knowledge exchange and transnational collaboration between them.
